Grass Roots Meet Cancelled – bad weather stop play
Latest from Grass Roots HQ is that earlier today they had to make the difficult decision on whether to run the meet or not. This involved discussions with a professional weather forecaster. Based on these discussions, sadly and regrettably they have decided to cancel this year’s event due to predicted unsuitable weather conditions. The meet will therefore carry forward to next year and not roll-on as in previous years.
Should the situation improve and you would like to fly from Sackville over the weekend you will be very welcome but the infrastructure associated with the meet will not be there.
Unless they hear otherwise they will assume that if you have already paid to enter this year’s event, this will be carried forward as payment to enter the 2017 event. For more details check out the website at www.grassrootsballooning.org.uk/
