Balloon Repair Station

Welcome to Easy Balloons 02.12.12

A very warm welcome to you if this is your first visit and welcome back if you’ve wandered around here before. Essentially Easy Balloons Ltd is a Part M Subpart F & G Organisation looking after continued airworthiness matters so on the site you will naturally find general (and not so general) airworthiness stuff. Elsewhere are all sorts of varied articles on stuff we hope you enjoy. Just posted articles include a bit about our latest two-wheeled addition. In the latest Easy News posting is an opportunity to go to Friedrichshafen for the day with Monarch Airlines. A great trip for a bargain price but you will have to be quick as it leaves on the sixth. We’ve had some great feedback following Joe Philp’s big day and Robin Batch has found an old video on Ubend. Other news includes the announcement that the RAeC Queen’s Cup will be competed for by balloonists next year, great news.

On the workshop front things are quietening down a bit with the run up to Christmas. We will probably be closed from about the 19th as eldest daughter is finally getting married…in Gretna Green! Christmas openings will be up in a week or two. We managed to fire up Barry’s old Moto Guzzi the other day that will warrant a word or two (I’m sure) in the near future. The mighty Mercette has taken to flooding now the ignition has been sorted. Bit disappointed with the trusty Hilux as now, knocking on for 300,000 miles, the gearbox mount has had a bit of a collapse, still, easy enough job if you wrap up warm!

Flying continues to be a bit problematic with the ground now wetter than wet, still chilly mornings are forecast so once the permafrost gets established then maybe we’ll be on the ups again albeit with about 20psi in the cylinders! Mind you we have had some stunning sunsets across the valley in the past couple of weeks. Thanks for visiting and please stick around and have a browse, we hope you enjoy the site. Most of the piccies get bigger if you click on them and loads of stuff is downloadable. Cheers.
