Essentially Easy Balloons Ltd is a Part M Subpart F & G Organisation looking after continued airworthiness matters so on the site you will naturally find general (and not so general) airworthiness stuff. Elsewhere are all sorts of varied articles on stuff we hope you enjoy. Just posted articles include a bit about our latest two-wheeled addition. In the latest Easy News posting is an opportunity to go to Friedrichshafen for the day with Monarch Airlines. A great trip for a bargain price but you will have to be quick as it leaves on the sixth. We’ve had some great feedback following Joe Philp’s big day and Robin Batch has found an old video on Ubend. Other news includes the announcement that the RAeC Queen’s Cup will be competed for by balloonists next year, great news.
On the workshop front… [more…]

So a most warm welcome to you if this is your first visit and welcome back if you’ve wandered around before. Essentially Easy Balloons Ltd is a Part M Subpart F & G Organisation looking after continued airworthiness matters. Down the sides are the pages of reference stuff like ADs and SBs along with Balloon Meets a few Ride Operators and stuff about transporting cylinders. If you rummage around the top line there are some technical articles and more general stuff, not so much ballooning stuff but the stuff enjoyed by balloonists. Please have a look around and enjoy. If you’d like to send us an article then feel free. If you wish to use any of the stuff on here it is all downloadable.
If it seems awhile since we changed the front page or updated the news it is! [More …]

A very warm welcome to you. We are beginning to think that this should be renamed ‘Old And Rusty’ as apart from the dull regulatory stuff most of what goes here is down to the hands on bit of the business, the repair and maintenance of stuff! This news edition is pretty packed with, well, news including the Black Horse is open again and very fine it is too, Lindsay Muir is now the European Ladies Champion and Andrew Holly won the UK Nationals. The CAA have been busy again with some dates for the 2013 CPL exams being announced. On the article side Steve Roake has done us proud with his take on the Grassroots Meet and there is an update on Trevor’s Viva coming soon. Out between news issues was an article on Pobjoy, a hero of hours. [more …]

Welcome to Easy Balloons 25.08.12.
A very warm welcome to you and bless it the weather is great. Bristol and Northampton went really well with almost all the slots going so well done everyone. On the home front the harvest is going well and all the hay is in. The workshop is buzzing and we have had a nice week long visit from Paolo Oggiwotsits from Italy who is busy training up to become an inspector. Visitors in the past couple of weeks have included John Viner’s Beer Glass special shape G-BNHL and the rarely seen G-OGLY which is going on tour with a Bugatti and something else rusty including Robin Batchelor.[more …]

First note is to let you know that a few Airworthiness Notices have just been issued, including an Airworthiness Directive. Details are in the News bit. That’s that done then. Moving on swiftly finally the weather really has sorted itself out and down at the daughter’s the hay and silage is finally cut, big relief all round. With most of the years’ County Shows and big outdoor events having been cancelled it seems the only people that got it right was Glastonbury who decided to have a year off. Bet they couldn’t believe their luck! Down at Bristol it seems all is full steam ahead with a good forecast seemingly holding good. In the workshop we had a week or two when it looked like all the round-to-it jobs would be completed and we’d have to take an extra day or two off but with the return of summer, albeit a bit late, we are back with a workshop full of stuff. We took a quick trip to Northern Ireland again the other week to inspect a few balloons that escaped and blow me down, while we had low cloud and clag, back at base it was the hottest few days ever in the history of this years summer! Typical. [more…]

Cor, only just get a freshly welcome out and all the news comes at once so a bit of a re-write needed. Good news is that Mark Stelling’s balloon along with the trailer has turned up and on top of this the weather seems to have taken a turn for the better at long last. John is more approachable as the conservatory is looking very nice and he is busy choosing rattan chairs and potted palms to decorate it. Great news for us and our northern customers is that John Till and Richard Tilson have come onboard and are now certified to inspect and issue ARCs on behalf of Easy Balloons saving many a long journey. Welcome aboard chaps. For their contact details please see the latest edition of Easy News. In celebration we now have a list of inspectors in The Pages bit which will be added to in the near future. Also new to the Pages is ‘Items for sale’ check out the News for further details. Cameron owners please note the latest revision of the Cameron Flight Manual has just been issued and now stands at Issue10 Amendment 11 details in News. [More …]

Hi and a very warm welcome to you, thanks for dropping by, as the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band said. We’ve had a few weeks of mayhem and somehow got through most of it! The weather is really starting to annoy. No chance to cut any silage yet so long grass still at The Black Horse but the beer is good and there is Stowford Press on tap. Recent visitors have included The Nescafe Mug and Dave Such, doing his Special-shaped Inspector rating. We have a rake of future pilots through doing their exams and all doing jolly well. Congratulations. The foal is doing famously and can now be caught and can have a head-collar put on. [more…]
