Welcome to Easy Balloons 16.06.12
Hadn’t realised how time has flown. Not quite sure where we’ve been but an extended holiday, which seemed to turn into a two day week here, plus a trip to Northern Ireland came into the equation somewhere along the line. Anyone got any ideas how to loose a stone or two of Guinness fatness? We had a fine old time at the Tylers Green Jubilee Beacon, article elsewhere, but not before the village had had a brilliant parade and afternoon bash where The Swan didn’t come last in the ‘It’s a Knockout’ challenge! Recent visitors to the workshop have included Mr Dorrell, who strongly leads in the Trailer of the Year Award, see article.

Well, no sooner than we said the weather was bad then all turned out fine and lovely and balloons were flying again, as if nothing had happened, even the ground has dried out. So on a generally sunny note a warm welcome and thanks for visiting the site. In the news is the latest press release concerning the Olympic Airspace Restrictions along with links to the maps. Best have a read if you live south of Watford Gap! There is an article on telling the difference between our forked tail flying friends and hopefully a bit about our German trip. [more…]

Welcome to Easy Balloons 01.05.12
So, in Merry England and the rest of Great Britain it is still raining and has been ever since a drought was declared and hosepipe ban instigated by our trusted Government! Flying has been a bit hit and miss to say the least. Anyway, any road down a cul-de-sac, we are still merry, spurred on by the latest brilliant achievement of BBAC President Anthony Smith who has never been to our workshop for tea preferring to cross the Atlantic by raft. Robin Batchelor has been running the HQ and a brilliant website following Anthony’s adventure and finally, on Saturday 30.04.12, he realised his dream and actually made landfall on Eleuthera in the Bahamas on the very spot he had hoped to. See the Newsy bit for more details or check out http://gasballoon.com/antiki/?p=2211. To Anthony and his team, our most heartfelt congratulations. We’ve already drunk to your good health! […more]
